Mission Statement of the Griffin Organization

The primary function of every employee in the Griffin Organization is to acquire and maintain customers. Every contact with a customer is a moment of truth. We must have a customer driven organization. We must create an environment where customers can comfortably complain and still enjoy their business relationship. Our facility and personal appearance must be neat and our attitude and morale must be good. Our future rest with our employees and our customers. Our managers must motivate both employees and customers in order to take full advantage of the marketing opportunities ahead.

The market place today is changing rapidly and is the most competitive we have ever faced. Each department manager must seek new areas of business growth and techniques to improve profitability. We must plan our present and future business, and strive to meet our goals. Company History A Proud Past

Griffin Motor Company was founded by Bruce Griffin Sr., in 1946. Initially operating as a used car dealership on Concorde Avenue in Monroe, Griffin Motor Company’s main purposes were to offer every customer an automobile that was affordable and to ensure the customers continued satisfaction after the sale.

In November of 1991 the dealership was purchased in Rockingham, N.C. by Mike Griffin, Bruce Griffin and Bill Ray. The Griffin’s had already a successful Pontiac, Buick, GMC dealership in Rockingham. In August of 1993 Clint Ray moved from Tampa, Fl to become the Finance Manager and eventually partner and President of Griffin Toyota. With the support of his wife , Leigh Ann and children, Taylor, Ian, and Cameron, Clint came to Rockingham with a dream of making this dealership a model in the community and a leader in customer satisfaction. With the company’s continued growth it was necessary to build a new facility just 2 miles down Hwy 74 in Hamlet, N.C

In December 1997 a state of the art facility was built on the same property as Griffin Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. Even though technology has changed for the better since that first dealership was started in 1948 the goals of the Griffin organization have always been the same.

Our employment has grown steadily to a total of more than 40 employees. We strive to keep our employees educated and up to date with current Toyota standards to provide our customers with reliable service.
